Dear Alli,

It seems change is in the winds, though I am uncertain yet if the clouds will be pushed away for sunny skies or for rough, dangerous storms.

After the short time I had with Adratha last evening, Alenia came into the pub as well, and stayed for a short while. It was truly nice to see her again and hear of what is going on in her life, though…the news she carried concerning the guild troubled me, and upon receiving a letter from Tristan, my concern is only growing. But first to her personal news.

I believe I wrote earlier that Alenia has now wed, and actually managed to get to the wedding; her last few fiancés seeming to have disappeared on her. Her new husband, Khale I believe is how you would spell it, seems utterly delighted with both Alenia and her daughter Vi, which is wonderful to hear as every daughter needs a good father figure in her life. To my surprise though, there was other news as well! Alenia is with child again and will be having another baby in the future. It seems that she is quite a fertile one. She appears to be quite happy, and I am therefore happy for her and wish her only the best.

But the other news of which I must write about, for fear that I forget where I hear such things, is that the guild is to be restructured. Now, this I had never heard before. It seems that all of the new recruits have been coming to me because Alenia would not be a Division Commander any longer. Instead, she says that she will be running events and other such departments were being created for others to take on responsibilities. It was disturbing almost though to hear that Tristan spoke with her about such things, yet when I asked Brier about it, she knew nothing of it either.

I feel…very left in the dark and that perhaps I am not a good listener if nothing was ever said to me about such large changes. I think it simply would have been nice if anyone had bothered to even ask if I wanted to be the one in charge of all the members, as that certainly seems the hint of how things will be that I got from Alenia.

Then today, of all things, Tristan has chosen to send out a meeting agenda for the February council meeting. All fine and good, I’m very pleased to hear that we’ll be having one, though…much of it is speculation. There is the Demerit System, which has been going around via mail and been in discussion, so that point I know of. There is the Academy, which while I sign up to teach classes, it seems that is all I’m there for, to read off lecture notes, inform the students, and answer questions. Nothing more at all than to simply be an instructor. It lists we are going to go over the Guild’s Forum events for the year, though each week I hear there are far less dates available for running them. We probably need to get on the ball.

Then, at one final note, he puts we are discussing a Divisional Structure, though after hearing Alenia’s comments last night, I can’t but think it’s the lack of a Division Structure is really what will be talked about. Division Merger is a point under it…and it would seem that Alenia was correct, that she is no longer responsible for the members and that lies solely with me.

It almost feels heavy now, the weight of this all. I do not wish all my time to be spent on paperwork and being the communication with all of our members. I want to be able to spend time teaching, working on my craft, coming up with my own lesson plans. But it seems none of that matters to the leadership. However, it is all only speculation. Perhaps tomorrow night’s meeting will bring about a different kind of truth.
